The process begins with a non-intrusive, external assessment using data provided by the organization. This ensures no disruption to ongoing operations while insights are gathered independently and later aligned with current and future projects.
Applications are consolidated into a centralized dataset and evaluated using a structured framework (such as business capability or supply chain models). This provides an objective basis to determine which applications should be retained, replaced, or retired.
The timeline depends on the scope and number of applications. A proof of concept for around 100 applications can typically be completed within 3–4 weeks, including framework setup and roadmap development.
